Combat and mystic skills
Combat techniques belong to a specific Martial Art and form the core rotation of its weapon. Mystic skills use separate slots and add control, mobility, defense, or burst damage. Learn the weapon's basic attacks, dodge, and deflect timing first, then use mystic skills to cover a weakness in that kit.
Do not judge an ability by its damage number alone. Cast time, range, resource cost, cooldown, and interruption potential can matter more than one large hit. Compare skills against the same target and avoid spreading limited upgrade materials across every unlocked option.
Unlocking and stealing skills
Abilities come from character progression, quests, exploration, and special activities. When an unlock uses Skill Theft, locate the indicated target, meet the observation requirement, and stay undetected until the learning progress completes. A disabled action usually means a prerequisite quest or mode is missing, or your character is positioned too close to the target.
Read the source line in the skill menu before traveling. Check the quest log for quest rewards, the relevant map region for exploration skills, and the material and current level cap before attempting an upgrade.
Effects and useful combinations
Build a loadout around a simple sequence: open with control, deal damage during a safe window, and keep one defensive answer for a dangerous attack. Mobility and recovery are comfortable for exploration; bosses reward short, repeatable damage windows; groups benefit from control and support.
Recheck the loadout after changing weapons. A short-range mystic skill may not suit a ranged plan, while several long animations can compete for the same opening. Balance patches can change exact values, so confirm the current in-game description and test the result in several fights before spending scarce resources.
