Latest Where Winds Meet update
Version 2.1, Clouded Revelation, is the current major update cycle as of this review. Its rollout expanded the Hidden Mountain story and Mohist Hill systems introduced with Version 2.0. The August 20 maintenance notes delivered fixes and optimizations; the August 27 overview covered the next part of the version content.
The version shown on the title screen matters more than a guide's publication date. Live maintenance can fix a quest, event display or combat interaction without changing the major version number, so check the newest official note before using an old workaround.
Patch notes, overviews and roadmap
Official posts have different meanings. Patch notes document deployed fixes and balance changes. Update overviews explain playable content, events and unlock schedules. Dev letters discuss direction and can describe features that are not live yet. Only a dated patch note or in-game notice confirms a release.
The official archive separates announcements from maintenance. A roadmap is not a fixed release contract: keep an AMA or dev-letter feature labelled as planned until a release notice confirms it.
What to check after an update
Finish the client download and confirm that its version matches the server. Read the Development and Combat sections before spending upgrade materials or changing a build. Recheck event times in the in-game server timezone, which may differ from your local calendar date.
If an objective, reward or interface still fails, restart the client before repeating a costly action. Keep a screenshot, Character ID, platform and server region for support. Avoid unofficial fixes requiring modified clients, macros or account sharing.
How patches affect guides
Combat advice ages fastest. Changes to Martial Arts, Inner Ways, sets and Path mechanics can invalidate a tier list even when a weapon was not directly changed. Our weapons guide therefore emphasizes stable roles and selection criteria instead of an undated universal ranking.
Quest and exploration guides usually age more slowly, but new regions can alter unlock order and localization. Compare a guide's review date with the newest notes.
